Patricia - Maid of Honor
I’m Patricia, Kathryn’s twin sister, and I can’t wait to celebrate Kathryn and Max! It’s hard to imagine that I have known Kathryn for 27 years now and I’m grateful that we were given the most incredible gift of walking through each stage of life together. From our nightly laughter filled debriefs in elementary school (when we were supposed to go to bed) to meeting up for adventures across Europe while studying abroad, life has always been more joyful with Kathryn by my side. I’m so happy that she’s found someone that matches her uplifting, adventurous, and deeply kind spirit, and I was lucky to witness their love story begin at Davidson College. Wishing them so much happiness as they continue to grow together!
Jenn - Bridesmaid
I first met Kathryn while we were studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark. What started as two students navigating a new city turned into an instant friendship built on wanderlust, laughter, and more pastries and ice creams than we care to admit— actually, who are we kidding? We’ll tell you all about it later!
By some wonderful twist of fate, we both ended up at Vanderbilt University for graduate school and became roommates in Nashville. Since then, we’ve continued to travel to new countries and cities together, always reminiscing about how the stars aligned and brought us together during study abroad. I’m so grateful for the adventures we’ve shared, and even more excited for the ones still to come!
Deanna - Bridesmaid
Hi, I’m Deanna! I met Kathryn studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2019. We were in the same positive psychology class and homestay network. Since then, we have become great friends and gone on many amazing travel adventures together! :)
Kara - Bridesmaid
Hi, I’m Kara. Kathryn and I met in high school, where we spent countless hours playing tennis and laughing through practices. Over the years, I’ve loved visiting her and Max for hiking trips and catching up on life. I’m so excited to stand by her side and celebrate such a special day!
Catherine - Bridesmaid
I met Kathryn circa summer 2001, before starting preschool. After growing up together, our friendship has deepened at Davidson College and beyond. I spent two years teaching in Romania on a Fulbright grant and am currently a master's student at Georgetown's School of Foreign Service.
Maddie - Bridesmaid
I'm Maddie Kromer. Kathryn and I met her senior year in college when I started dating her roommate, but we became friends on our own. Through many dog walks, dinner parties, Whits runs, and trips, Kathryn has become one of my best friends, and I'm so excited to celebrate her and Max!
Lauren - Bridesmaid
I met Kathryn in Nashville while at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. We bonded over a shared love of ice cream and hiking, and I proudly claim the title of Dog Aunt to Ranger! I am originally from the Boston area, but have been in Hartford CT for the past three years working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
Shelby - Bridesmaid
Hi there! I'm Shelby Rapant, and I met Kathryn our first week at Davidson! I live in Conover, NC with my husband (Harrison), son (William), and dog (Teddy). I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, music, and reading a good mystery novel! It has been such a joy watching Kathryn and Max's relationship grow from the very beginning, and I cannot wait to celebrate them and the start of their lives together as husband and wife!
Zander - Best Man
Hi, I’m Zander, Max’s brother and best man. Max is an incredible guy and I’m lucky to have a brother who makes me laugh and always has my back. I’m thrilled to be a part of this special ceremony, and I can’t wait to have Kathryn as a part of our family. I live in Asheville where I am finishing Med-School and trying to spend lots of time outdoors.
Ed - Groomsman
My name is Ed Walker or “Uncle Ed” and I met Max a few days after he was born. I have known him ever since and to date our relationship has been one of the strongest bonds I can remember in my lifetime. Never just a nephew to me, more like a brother. Most importantly, I have had the sincere pleasure of watching him grow up to be a kind, compassionate, sharp, and brilliant young man, truly capable of handling any situation you put in front of him. I cannot wait to watch him in this next chapter of his life!
Owen - Groomsman
I met Max during the pre-orientation backpacking trip at Davidson College. I noticed a fly fishing rod leaning against a backpack and camped next to it, waiting to see whose it was. Turned out to be Max’s. He taught me how to fly fish, I taught him how to catch snook, and now I’m honored to be supporting him and Kathryn on their big day.
Tyler - Groomsman
Max and I became friends in kindergarten after we discovered the T-Rex was our mutual favorite dinosaur. We found this to be a good enough reason to remain close friends for over twenty years, and have since shared many long hikes through the mountains in pursuit of trout, adventure, and camaraderie.
Josh - Groomsman
Max and I met at Davidson, becoming especially close friends during our senior year and in the years since graduating. We share a love of sports, nature, reading, and similar sense of humor. Max is a genuine, kind hearted, and caring person who is always there for the people in his life that are important to him. I am so grateful for our friendship and to get to be a part of his and Kathryn’s special day.
Lee - Groomsman
I’m sure Max and I knew of each other long before I started rooming with Kathryn our senior year of college, but I couldn’t tell you to what extent. Regardless, that year our friendship blossomed (as do most things Kathryn initiates). We have stayed close ever since: going on hikes, having house parties, and going to the beach together. Max was there as my relationship with Maddie (Kathryn’s bridesmaid and my wife) first started up, and he was there beside me on my her wedding day. I can think of no greater honor, therefore, than to be standing up with him on his to Kathryn.
Griffin - Groomsman
Max and I grew up together on the shores of Lake George as the more athletic half of our quartet of cousins, endearingly coined “The Nuggets” by Aunts and Uncles jealous of all the fun we were having. Summer rolled around each year and our debauchery resumed, competitive drive resurfaced, and our relationship grew. Max is a phenomenal guy and I can’t wait to be there to watch him and Kathryn tie the knot.
Ranger - Best Little Man
Do I even need to introduce myself? My name is Ranger, but many of you likely know me by one of the countless nicknames mom and dad have for me. Above most (maybe all) things, I love playing fetch, hiking with my favorite humans, swimming in the lakes of Minocqua, Davidson, and Hickory and the beaches of Florida, and snuggling up on any cushy surface. I am over the moon to be a part of my parents' special day and absolutely cannot wait for them to be MARRIED!
